Box Score GLASSBORO, NJ – The #14 Catholic University women's lacrosse team defeated Rowan University, 18-10 in non-conference action on Thursday afternoon.
The Cardinals remain unbeaten with a 3-0 record and the Profs have a mark of 1-1. Catholic goalie Tricia Pehnke (sr. West Windsor, NJ/West Windsor-Plainsboro N.) earned the victory, making nine saves. Rowan goalie

Erin Horner (fr. Mullica Hill, NJ/Kingsway Reg.) played the final 17:23 and made three saves.
Attack Lindsay Brophy (sr. Haddonfield, NJ/Haddonfield Mem.) tallied five goals and two assists for the Cardinals. Attack Nicolette Crisalli (fr. Silver Spring, MD/St. John's College) scored three times. Midfielders Clair Schmitzer (so. Sparta, NJ/Sparta), Anna Stumme (so. Millersville, MD/Seton Keough) and Alexis Bosilovic (so. Gibsonia, PA/Sewickler Academy) each recorded two goals. Schmitzer also had one assist. Midfielder/attack Laura Dunn (so. Fairfax, VA/W.T. Woodson), attack Madeline Wilson (sr. Pearl River, NY/Pearl River), midfielder Ana Brandenburg (so. Edgewater, MD/Annapolis) and defender Kathryn Burton (sr. Falmouth, MA/Falmouth) registered one goal apiece. Defender Tori Neill (sr. Voorhess, NJ/Eastern Reg.) chipped in with one assist.
For Rowan, attack
Becca Wood (sr. Cherry Hill, NJ/Cherry Hill E.) produced three goals. Midfielder
McKayla Earley (fr. Sewell, NJ/Washington Twp.) scored the first two goals of her career. Attack
Rachel Emerson (jr. Moorestown, NJ/Moorestown) tallied one goal and one assist. Midfielders
Jamie Blondina (sr. Toms River, NJ/Toms River S.),
Nicole Mickendrow (fr. Jackson, NJ/Jackson Liberty) and attacks
Vicky Sucharski (sr. Cinnaminson, NJ/Cinnaminson) and
Rachel Hofbauer (so. Wayne, NJ/Wayne Valley) each had one goal. Midfielder
Kelly O'Brien (so. Kendall Park, NJ/South Brunswick) controlled seven draws.
Catholic jumped out to a 4-0 lead after goals by Crisalli (00:45) and Brandenburg (1:47) and two by Brophy (6:10 and 6:25). Wood (8:44) and Blondina (9:54) scored to the cut the deficit to two (4-2). The Cardinals then tallied six unanswered goals to take a 10-2 lead with 10:07 to play in the first half. Mickendrow made the score 10-3 at the 21:39 mark, but Crisalli responded at 22:59 with a goal. A goal by Sucharski trimmed the lead to 11-4 (24:33). Stumme registered the final goal of the frame (29:25). Catholic led 12-4 at the break.
The teams traded goals for most of the second half. The Cardinals had their largest lead (16-6) after a tally by Wilson (42:03). Earley (53:09) and Hofbauer (54:18) scored back-to-back goals, cutting the advantage to eight (17-9). Boslivic hit the back of the net with 4:27 remaining and Wood recorded the final goal of the game with 1:54 on the clock.
Rowan travels to Clermont, FL to face SUNY Fredonia on Tuesday, March 17 at noon.
