Box Score WAYNE, NJ – Forward Jenna Pressler scored the winning goal for the Rowan University field hockey team in a 2-1 overtime victory at William Paterson on Saturday evening.
 
Pressler (jr. Medford, NJ/Shawnee) recorded the game-winner at 2:08 into the overtime period.  Back Marisa Marini (sr. Carneys Point, NJ/Padua Academy (DE)) took a penalty corner and passed to forward Rachel Galante (fr. Mount Laurel, NJ/Collingswood) on the top of the circle.  Galante's shot was knocked into the cage by Pressler.
 
The victory gives the Profs the second seed in the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Championship Tournament.  Rowan has a 13-5 record and a 5-1 final conference mark.  William Paterson is 10-7 overall and 3-3 in the NJAC.  The Pioneers are the fourth seed in the conference postseason.
 
In the semifinals, Rowan hosts the third seed Montclair State University (15-4) on Wednesday, Nov. 4 at 7 p.m.  William Paterson travels to the top seed The College of New Jersey (16-1) on Wednesday for a 7:30 p.m. semifinal contest.  The two winners meet in the championship on Saturday, Nov. 7 at the higher seed.
 
Pressler also had Rowan's first goal unassisted at 3:15 for a 1-0 advantage.  In the second half, midfielder Meghin Stanton (jr. Chesterfield, NJ/Northern Burlington Reg.) produced the tying goal (55:08) with an assist from midfielder Felcia Wetzel (sr. Point Pleasant, NJ/Wallkill Valley Reg.). 
 
The Profs totaled 16 shots while the Pioneers had four.  Rowan goalie Carly DeMarco (so. Gloucester City, NJ/Gloucester City) made one save.  William Paterson goalie Meg Davies (sr. Haverford, PA/Haverford) stopped seven shots.
