Box Score GLASSBORO, NJ – The Rowan University field hockey team rallied for a 6-2 victory over Haverford College on Monday night.

Johanna James (sr. Gloucester City, NJ/Gloucester) had an unassisted goal at 30:52, which put the Profs ahead 3-2 at the half. Rowan produced three straight goals in the second stanza for the victory.

Jenna Pressler (jr. Medford, NJ/Shawnee) contributed with one goal and one assist. Back
Marisa Marini (sr. Carneys Point, NJ/Padua Academy (DE)) scored one time while midfielder
Jacqui Rosati (fr. Haddon Heights, NJ/Paul VI) had an assist.
For Haverford, forward/back Nicole Witte (jr. Watchung, NJ/Pingry School) and forward/midfielder Elena Veale (so. Wilmington, DE/Wilmington Friends) produced one goal apiece. The Fords have a 7-5 record.
The Profs have won five straight games and are 8-4 overall. Goalie
Carly DeMarco (so. Gloucester City, NJ/Gloucester City) totaled seven saves. Haverford goalie Abby Frerotte (jr. Kittanning, PA/John Burroughs) made four saves in 30:52 and Lindsey Lopes (sr. Fairfield, CT/Fairfield Warde) turned away two shots in 39:08.
In the final half, Browne hit the cage at 37:33 and 65:18 with assists from Pressler and Rosati respectively. Marini tapped the ball in during a scramble on a penalty corner after time expired.
Veale put Haverford on the scoreboard first at 5:23. Pressler tied the score when she knocked in a loose ball (22:40). Witte made the score 2-1 (25:17) then Browne followed with a goal (27:10), which tied the score.
Rowan travels to Stevens Institute of Technology on Wednesday, Oct. 14 for a 4 p.m. game.
