ResultsMAHWAH, NJ – The Rowan University men's swim team defeated Ramapo College, 163-99 in a New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) meet on Saturday afternoon.
The Profs raise their record to 9-1 overall and 3-1 in the conference. The Roadrunners have a mark of 6-2 and they fall to 1-2 in the NJAC.
Eric Emerson (so. Sewell, NJ/Washington Twp.),
Brian Suatengco (fr. Toms River, NJ/Donovan Catholic),
Nick Marte (fr. Fair Lawn, NJ/Fair Lawn) and
Eric Feuerstein (fr. Absecon, NJ/Holy Spirit) won the 400 medley relay in a time of 3:39.71. In the 200 freestyle relay,
Jesse Novak (so. Bridgewater, NJ/Bridgewater-Raritan),
Tyler Coe (jr. North Brunswick, NJ/North Brunswick Twp.), Feuerstein and
John Shellem (fr. Mount Laurel, NJ/Lenape) finished first (1:27.81).
Zac Wister (sr. Haddon Heights, NJ/Haddon Heights) came in first (1:48.17) in the 200 freestyle and second (2:03.05) in the 200 backstroke.
Mike Simunek (so. Cherry Hill, NJ/Cherry Hill E.) had a victory (1:02.01) in the 100 breaststroke.
Steven Buzby (so. Linwood, NJ/Mainland Reg.) came in first in the 200 butterfly (2:02.29) and the 100 freestyle (49.61). Coe finished first in the 50 freestyle (22.57).
Patrick Myers (jr. Kennett Square, PA/Kennett) had a first place (2:14.57) in the 200 breaststroke and a second (1:50.10) in the 200 freestyle.
Chris Boyle (so. Springfield, NJ/Seton Hall Prep) won (5:01.17) the 500 freestyle and finished second (10:21.40) in the 1000 freestyle. Feuerstein touched the wall first (54.69) in the 100 butterfly.
Colin Fisher (fr. Marlton, NJ/Cherokee) took the 200 individual medley with a time of 2:04.93 and he came in third (2:10.88) in the 200 butterfly.
Novak was second (55.19) in the 100 backstroke and
Paul Long (so. Medford, NJ/Shawnee) took second in the 100 breaststroke (1:02.24).
Jonathan Leonardo (fr. North Brunswick, NJ/North Brunswick Twp.) came in second (51.25) in the 100 freestyle.
Kyle Surette (jr. Martinsville, NJ/Bridgewater-Raritan) had second place (2:06.43) and
Connor Buck (jr. Eastampton, NJ/Rancocas Valley Reg.) third (2:06.78), in the 200 individual medley. Surette also finished third (2:27.31) in the 200 breaststroke. Shellem took third (5:11.56) in the 500 freestyle.
Rowan hosts York College (PA) on Saturday, February 7 at 1 p.m.
