Box Score EWING, NJ – The Rowan University women's lacrosse team lost to The College of New Jersey, 15-3 in the final of the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Championship Tournament on Saturday afternoon. 
 
The Lions (17-1) were the top seed in the inaugural conference tournament while the Profs (13-5) were seeded third.  TCNJ receives an automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Championship Tournament.  This week, the Lions are ranked fourth in the nation.    
 
Rowan will have to wait until Sunday night (May 4) to see if it receives an at-large bid to the national tournament.  In the NJAC first round, Rowan defeated the second seed Montclair State, 15-4 while TCNJ had a 20-1 victory over the fourth seed Kean University. 
 
Attack Kendal Borup (jr. Plainsboro, NJ/West Windsor-Plainsboro S.) led the Lions with five goals and one assist.  Midfielder/attack Cortney Natalicchio (so. New Egypt, NJ/New Egypt) contributed with three goals and two assists.  Attack Ava Fitzgerald (jr. Merrick, NY/Calhoun) chipped in with three goals.  Attack Jen Garavente (sr. Monroe Twp., NJ/Monroe Twp.) added two goals and one assist.  Midfielder Lauren Pigott (sr. Jobstown, NJ/Northern Burlington Reg.) and attack Erin Waller (jr. Washington Twp., NJ/Washington Twp.) each had one goal and one assist.    
 
TCNJ goalie Kelly Schlupp (fr. Holland, PA/Council Rock S.) made one save.  For Rowan, goalie Lindsay Barrie (sr. Marlton, NJ/Cherokee) stopped 11 shots.  Midfielders Jamie Blondina (jr. Toms River, NJ/Toms River S.) and Brittany Bollendorf (so. Sewell, NJ/Washington Twp.) and attack Rachel Emerson (so. Moorestown, NJ/Moorestown) each scored one goal.  Attack Becca Wood (jr. Cherry Hill, NJ/Cherry Hill E.) and Emerson had one assist apiece.
