Women's Lacrosse Wins At Eastern University, 19-3

Box Score ST. DAVIDS, PA – The Rowan University women's lacrosse team won 19-3 at Eastern University on Thursday.    
 
The Profs have a five-game win streak.  It was their last game of the regular season.  The New Jersey Athletic Conference Championship Tournament starts on Wednesday, April 30.  The top four teams in the final conference standings will play in the first round. 
 
Rowan has a 12-4 record while Eastern is 6-9 overall.  Attack Becca Wood (jr. Cherry Hill, NJ/Cherry Hill E.) led the way with six goals.  Midfielder Brittany Bollendorf (so. Sewell, NJ/Washington Twp.) contributed with four goals while midfielders Jamie Blondina (jr. Toms River, NJ/Toms River S.) and Cat Luick (so. Tinton Falls, NJ/Red Bank Catholic) each added two. 
 
Attacks Marissa Micciche (sr. Kinnelon, NJ/Kinnelon), Chelsey Taggart (so. Holmdel, NJ/Holmdel) and Rachel Hofbauer (fr. Totowa, NJ/Wayne Valley) and midfielder Kelly O'Brien (fr. Kendall Park, NJ/South Brunswick) and defender Giselle Cortes (fr. Pennsauken, NJ/Pennsauken) all hit the net one time.  Attack Rachel Emerson (so. Moorestown, NJ/Moorestown), Micciche and Luick all tallied two assists and O'Brien had one.  Defender Lauren Callaghan (sr. Wayne, NK/Wayne Valley) and O'Brien registered seven and five draw controls respectively.
 
For the Eagles, attack Caleigh Falco (fr. Royersford, PA/Spring-Ford) and attack/midfielders Anna Charlebois (fr. Royersford, PA/Spring-Ford) and Shannon Wilcox (jr. Gorham, ME/Gorham) scored one goal apiece. 
 
The Profs totaled 40 shots and goalie Lindsay Barrie (sr. Marlton, NJ/Cherokee) made three saves.  Eastern goalies Megan McReynolds (fr. Abingdon, MD/New Covenant Christian) and Cortney Andes (so. Cheshire, CT/Cheshire) stopped nine and four shots respectively.
 
Rowan started the game with three straight goals in 7:23.  Bollendorf made the first two and Wood produced the third.  Falco put Eastern on the scoreboard at 8:15.  The two teams exchanged goals then the Profs recorded nine unanswered scores for a 13-2 advantage at the break.  Wood collected five goals and Bollendorf chipped in with two.  Blondina and Luick had one goal apiece.
 
In the second period, Hofbauer and O'Brien each hit the net and the Profs led 15-2.  Wilcox scored the Eagles' final goal with 19:58 remaining.  Rowan closed out the game with goals by Blondina, Luick, Cortes and Taggart.
