Box Score GLASSBORO, ­­­NJ –The College of New Jersey field hockey team defeated Rowan University, 2-0 in the regular season finale for both teams.
 
The Profs have an overall record of 13-4 and the Lions are 17-1. TCNJ was undefeated in the conference (6-0) and Rowan was 5-1. Rowan is seeded second in the NJAC Championship Tournament and hosts the third seed Montclair State University on Wednesday, November 5 at 7 p.m. in a semifinal game.
 
The Lions are the top seed and play the fourth seed Kean University on Wednesday, November 5 in the other semifinal. The winners will play in the championship game at the highest remaining seed on Saturday, November 8. The conference champion receives an automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Championship Tournament.
 
Back Lexi Smith (so. Florence, NJ/Florence Twp.) and forward Lindsay Hatch (sr. Sewell, NJ/Washington Twp.) each scored one goal for TCNJ. Rowan goalie Carly DeMarco (fr. Gloucester City, NJ/Gloucester City) made four saves. TCNJ goalie Kelly Schlupp (so. Holland, PA/Council Rock S.) stopped one shot.
 
Smith gave TCNJ a 1-0 lead at the 4:48 mark. She shot the ball into the lower left corner of the cage. Hatch added the insurance tally with 15:16 to play in the second half as she scored with a shot from just inside the circle into the right side of the goal.
