Box Score GLASSBORO, NJ – The Rowan University field hockey team defeated Haverford College, 2-1 in the season opener on Saturday at Coach Richard Wackar Stadium. 
 
Forward Kellie Campbell (jr. Clark, NJ/Arthur L. Johnson) scored the winning goal at 51:22.  The Profs ended the game with 19 shots while the Fords had six.
 
Rowan goalie Steph Colombo (sr. Moorestown, NJ/Camden Catholic) made three saves and Haverford goalie Lindsey Lopes (so. Fairfield, CT/Fairfield Warde) stopped nine shots. 
 
Campbell put Rowan on the scoreboard first at 23:07.  She knocked in a pass from the right side from forward Jenna Pressler (fr. Medford, NJ/Shawnee).  In the second half, midfielder Megan Holt (sr. Bryn Mawr, PA/Friends Central) produced the tying goal at 49:52.  
 
Next, Rowan travels to Cabrini College on Wednesday, September 4 for a 6:30 p.m. game.
