Field Hockey Shuts Out FDU-Florham, 4-0

Box Score MADISON, NJ – The Rowan University field hockey team shut out FDU-Florham, 4-0 on Monday night. 

The Profs improve to 8-6 overall while the Devils drop to 6-9 on the season.  Goalie Steph Colombo (sr. Moorestown, NJ/Camden Catholic) made four saves for the shutout.  FDU goalie Tess Loughran (sr. Newton, NJ/Newton) stopped nine shots.

Rowan was ahead 3-0 after the first half.  Forward Kellie Campbell (jr. Clark, NJ/Arthur L. Johnson) started the scoring at 3:28.  She hit the right side of the cage with a pass from midfielder Marisa Marini (so. Wilmington, DE/Padua Academy).  Forward Amy McKeever (sr. West Deptford, NJ/West Deptford) had the second goal at 17:29 unassisted.  Forward Johanna James (so. Gloucester City, NJ/Gloucester) knocked in forward Jenna Pressler's (fr. Medford, NJ/Shawnee, NJ) pass at 33:11.  Midfielder Sam Browne (so. West Milford, NJ/West Milford) had the fourth and final goal at 60:01.

The Profs ended the game with 17 total shots while the Devils took eight.  Next, Rowan hosts conference opponent Kean University on Saturday, October 26 at 1 p.m.
