GLASSBORO, NJ – Forward/midfielder Jenna O’Sullivan scored the game-winning goal to give 16th ranked Rowan University a 2-1 victory over sixth ranked The College of New Jersey in a New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) game on Saturday.

Rowan improves to 11-4 overall, with a 3-1 NJAC mark.  TCNJ is 12-2 overall and 3-2 in the conference.  With 8:07 remaining, O’Sullivan (so. Sicklerville, NJ/Timber Creek Reg.) tipped in a pass from back Erin Bernat (sr. Glassboro, NJ/Glassboro) off a penalty corner.

The scoring opened up in the second half when a TCNJ shot went off a Rowan defender into the lower right corner of the cage at 39:38.  At 52:06, forward/midfielder Karlee Henderson (so. Elmer, NJ/Woodstown) evened the score (1-1) after capitalizing on a pass from forward Kellie Campbell (so. Clark, NJ/Arthur L. Johnson). 

Rowan took 11 shots and TCNJ had eight.  Profs’ goalie Jen Goldberg (sr. Clark, NJ/Arthur L. Johnson) and Lions’ goalie Roisin Dougherty (fr. Ocean City, NJ/Ocean City) each stopped five shots.

Next, Rowan plays Stevens Institute of Technology on Wednesday, October 17th at 7 p.m.
