Dickey Leads Rowan To A 19-3 Win Over Ramapo

MAHWAH, NJ – Midfielder Alli Dickey totaled 10 points to lead Rowan University to a 19-3 victory over Ramapo College in a New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) game on Tuesday night.

Rowan improves to 4-4 overall and 1-0 in the conference. Ramapo has a 4-4 record with a 0-3 NJAC mark. Dickey (sr. Stevensville, MD/Kent Island) compiled nine goals and one assist. Attack Vicky Sucharski (fr. Cinnaminson, NJ/Cinnaminson) registered two goals and one assist. Attacks Caitlin Ravel (so. Marlton, NJ/Cherokee) and Ellen Brigham (so. Oakton, VA/Oakton) and midfielder Trish Harrington (sr. Mahwah, NJ/Suffern (NY)) tallied two goals apiece. Midfielder Michelle Lubrano (jr. Delanco, NJ/Holy Cross) and attack Leah Hershey (sr. Glen Rock, PA/Susquehannock) both found the net once.

For Ramapo, midfielder Amanda Barretta (jr. Roseland, NJ/West Essex) scored three goals. Attack Jenna Pfarr (sr. Cranford, NJ/Cranford) dished one assist.

Rowan took 38 shots, while Ramapo had 20. Profs’ goalie Lindsay Barrie (fr. Marlton, NJ/Cherokee) made 11 saves. Goalie Samantha Litchfield (so. Clifton, NJ/Clifton) stopped eight shots in the Roadrunners’ net.

The Profs jumped out to a 6-0 lead at 7:40 in the first period. Dickey had back-to-back unassisted goals at :28 and 4:10. Sucharski scored on a pass from Dickey at 5:02 and Brigham found the net 24 seconds later. Harrington (6:49) and Brigham (7:40) both added a goal. Barretta had three consecutive goals at 8:40, 11:35 and 14:39 to cut the deficit to three (6-3). Dickey answered with three goals in a row to put Rowan up, 9-3 at 18:56. Lubrano recorded a goal at 22:45 and Dickey’s sixth goal came at 23:13. The Profs were ahead, 11-3 at the intermission.

Rowan outscored Ramapo, 8-0 in the second period. Dickey and Hershey posted goals at 31:40 and 32:43 respectively. Dickey added an unassisted goal at 35:33. Sucharski’s second goal was at 38:05. Harrington converted a free position shot at 40:39. Ravel had two straight goals at 43:58 and 46:25. Dickey’s final goal came with 47 seconds remaining.

Rowan hosts Drew University on Saturday, April 9 at 1 p.m.
