GLASSBORO, NJ – The Rowan University women’s lacrosse team defeated FDU-Florham, 10-8 in a nonconference game on Tuesday night.

The Profs improve to 7-4, while the Devils have an 8-3 record. Rowan was led by attack Alli Dickey (jr. Stevensville, MD/Kent Island) with three goals and one assist. Attack Tori Hart (sr. Mt. Laurel, NJ/Lenape) posted two goals and two assists. Attack Lauren Yee (jr. Mendham, NJ/West Morris Mendham) and midfielder Nicole Valianti (jr. Oaklyn, NJ/Collingswood) both found the net twice. Yee also had one assist. Midfielder Michelle Lubrano (so. Delanco, NJ/Holy Cross) scored once.

For FDU-Florham, attack Kristen Schuster (sr. Centereach, NY/Centereach) compiled three goals. Midfielder Lindsey Parent (jr. Cinnaminson, NJ/Cinnaminson) registered one goal and two assists. Attacks Breana Kilpatrick (so. Pennsauken, NJ/Camden Catholic) and Linda Bohn (sr. Vernon, NJ/Vernon Twp.) recorded one goal and one assist apiece. Midfielders Erika Depelteau (jr. W. Windsor, NJ/W. Windsor-Plainsboro N.) and Sara Franckowiak (jr. Flemington, NJ/Hunterdon Central) each found the net once.

Rowan took 26 shots, while FDU-Florham had 22. Profs’ goalie Kerry Pehnke (so. W. Windsor, NJ/W. Windsor-Plainsboro N.) made eight saves. Devils’ goalie Brittany Laning (sr. New Egypt, NJ/New Egypt) turned away 10 shots.

The Profs jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first period. Yee scored on an assist from Hart at 13:03. Lubrano had an unassisted goal at 16:56. The Devils had three straight goals to go ahead, 3-2 at 24:49. Schuster scored twice and Parent added one goal and two assists. At 27:35, Yee tied the game on a feed from Hart. Dickey’s unassisted goal with 44 seconds left gave Rowan a 4-3 halftime advantage.

Rowan started the second half with two consecutive goals to increase the lead to three (6-3). Dickey (31:17) and Valianti (32:04) had one goal apiece. FDU-Florham pulled within one (6-5) following goals by Schuster (32:20) and Frackowiak (34:19). Hart had back-to-back goals at 36:19 and 41:59. Valianti added an unassisted goal at 46:44 to make the score, 9-5. Kilpatrick found the net on a pass from Bohn at 48:09. Dickey answered with a free position goal at 51:54. The Devils fought back with two straight goals, but the Profs held on. Bohn (54:36) and Depelteau (55:06) each had one goal.
