Jena Peacock (sr. Williamstown, NJ/Our Lady of Mercy Academy) helped the women’s indoor track team take second place among 17 schools at the CTC Championships (Feb. 11). The meet was hosted by Wesleyan College in Middletown, CT. Peacock won the 800 meters (2:21.08) and one mile (5:04.86). Both times were better than the ECAC qualifiers of 2:22.50 and 5:16.50 respectively. She also ran the anchor leg of the first place 4x800 meter relay (9:51.98), which qualified for the ECAC Championships (10:12.00). For her performance, Peacock was named the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Track Athlete of the Week for the second straight week and third time overall this season.
