Pierre James (so. Somerset, NJ/Franklin) took second place in the shot put at the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Championships (Mar. 4). His throw of 52’ 10.75” (16.12 meters) was better than the NCAA provisional (50’ 10.25”, 15.50 meters). Previously, he had a provisional throw of 52’ 1.75” (15.89 meters) at the Collegiate Track Conference (CTC) Championships (Feb. 12). James posted the 16th best throw in Division III this season.
