At the Northeast/South Diving Regional, Shire (sr. Mullica Hill, NJ/Kingsway Reg.) took first place in the one-meter with 487.95 points. He also finished seventh with 453.20 points on the one-meter board.

He is the first diver at the University to win a regional title. It was his third straight appearance at the regional. The senior qualified for the NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships on Wednesday-Saturday, March 18-21 at the Greensboro Aquatic Center in Greensboro, NC.
