Pierre James (so. Somerset, NJ/Franklin) won the shot put at the College Track Conference (CTC) Championships (Feb. 12). His throw of 52’ 1.75” (15.89 meters) was better than his previous NCAA provisional (51’ 5.5”, 15.68 meters) at the Collegeville Classic (Jan. 21). The NCAA provisional mark is 50’ 10.25” (15.50 meters). James currently has the 14th best throw in Division III this season. For his performance, he was selected the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Field Athlete of the Week for the third time.
