Box Score PURCHASE, NY – Christian McGillen had two goals and Tanner Grozinski recorded five points as the #5 Rowan men's soccer team (5-0-1) kept its undefeated record intact on Sunday afternoon, defeating Manhattanville, 7-0, highlighted by a six-goal second half.
 
McGillen scored the lone goal in the first half, coming in the 31st minute on a chip shot that went over the head over Manhattanville goalkeeper Dwayne Brown. It was McGillen's first goal of the season, with Grozinski providing the assist.
 
McGillen scored again to open the second half, in the 52nd minute, as he worked a give-and-go with Grozinski. 
 
Grozinski scored a goal of his own, his second of the season, in the 53rd minute, on a shot from inside the box to the bottom right corner of the net, which was set up by Evan Vilaboy and Luca Ercolano.
 
Four minutes later, the Profs struck again on a finish right in front of the net by Vilaboy. The cross from Grozinski was kept on the ground, and Vilaboy was able to finish his run to the net with a score, putting Rowan up, 4-0.
 
Dani Fluck-Luzano scored on a pass from Ercalano in the 65th minute, on a one-on-one play against Brown for his third goal of the season.  
 
Joey Kurak notched his first goal of the year with 10 minutes remaining, getting an assist from Carson Spangler, which was his first  first collegiate point.
 
Kristerson Mitchell scored his first goal as a Prof, finishing on a pass across the net from Spangler.
 
Rowan dominated offensively, taking 36 shots with 12 on goal. Manhattanville (4-1-3) fired three shots on goal against the Profs, but Mike Moore (2 saves) and CJ Norton (1 save) combined for the shutout, which was the third straight for Rowan's keepers.
 
The Profs will return home on Wednesday night, facing Arcadia at 6 p.m. at the Rowan Soccer and Lacrosse Complex.
