COLORADO SPRINGS, CO - Rowan's Sydney Kowalczyk, Aurelia McManis, Mia Foti and Gracie Merrick have been named to the 2026 NFHCA Watchlist, powered by Performance Sports Events. The 2026 NFHCA Watchlist recognizes field hockey student-athletes who have demonstrated a high level of achievement and are considered among those with strong potential for NFHCA All-Region and All-American consideration this season.
Student-athletes were nominated by their NFHCA member coaches and must have earned qualifying field hockey recognition within the previous two years. Qualifying honors include NFHCA All-Region, NFHCA All-America, All-Conference, Senior Nexus Championship selection, NCAA All-Tournament Team, or selection to a U.S. National or international team roster.
Kowalczyk, a sophomore midfielder, was the NJAC's Rookie of the Year in 2025 and an All-Conference First Team selection as she led the NJAC in goals with 17, while totaling 39 points, which marks the most point by a Rowan freshman since 2016. She was also named to the 2025 All-Region Second Team.
McManis, a senior defender, also picked up her first All-Region (Second Team) and All-NJAC (First Team) honors last season. She was a key performer on the Profs' defense, which recorded six shutouts on the year and held a decisive 74-39 advantage in goals scored. McManis also contributed six assists while scoring one goal.
Foti, a junior forward/midfielder earned All-Region Second Team honors for the first time in her career, while also earning her first selection to the All-NJAC First Team. She ranked second on the team by recording a career-high 10 goals and is credited with two game-winning goals.
Merrick, a senior captain, is the Profs' lone returning All-Region First Team selection, picking up the honor in 2025. She recorded a personal-best 11 points last season with three goals and five assists, and was named to the All-NJAC First Team, to mark her second year earning All-Conference honors.
The #14 Profs open the new year with three straight games on the road, starting with Wednesday, September 2 at Ursinus. Rowan will be tested right away with Top 25 matchups against #12 Stevens (September 6) and #2 Johns Hopkins (September 9) before opening the home schedule on September 12 against Moravian at noon.
