Kowalczyk's Two Goals Help #23 Field Hockey to 9-1 Win over Ramapo in NJAC Opener

McManis, Yoder and McClelland record multiple points as Profs record eighth straight win

GLASSBORO, NJ - Sydney Kowalczyk had two goals and an assist as #23 Rowan rolled to a 9-1 win over Ramapo (3-5; 0-1) in the NJAC opener for both teams. The five-time defending champion Profs have won eight games in a row and are 8-3 (1-0 NJAC).
 
Aurelia McManis, Chloe Yoder and Riley McClelland each had a goal and assist for the Profs, with Yoder registering her first career goal.
 
Rowan took a 5-0 lead in the first quarter, with McManis starting the streak with a goal at 6:43, taking a pass from Kowalczyk, who then followed with an unassisted goal just a minute later.
 
Grace Angelo scored within a minute, at 8:46, with Sophia Weisler picking up the assist. Kaylee Wonsetler recorded her first collegiate goal at the 11:44 mark on the pass from McManis. Tori Tullio got into the scoring column one minute later to give the Profs a 5-0 lead.
 
Kowalczyk scored Rowan's lone goal in the second quarter as Yoder posted her first career point with the assist, and the Profs held a 6-0 halftime lead. It marked Kowalczyk's second multiple-goal game of 2026, and the eighth of her career.
 
Paige Gray had an unassisted goal early in the third quarter with Yoder following soon after, taking the pass on a corner from Riley McClelland. And then at 54:32, McClelland tallied an unassisted goal.
 
Ramapo ended the shutout bid with less than a minute to play as Kaylee Free found the back of the cage.
 
Ella Marton played the first quarter in the cage and then Kelley Crescenzo played the final three, making four saves.  
 
The Profs go on the road on October 7 to take on Stockton before returning home for "Senior Day" on October 10 against William Paterson.
