Rowan will host third-seeded Stockton in the NJAC Semifinals on Wednesday

GLASSBORO, NJ - A run of 10 unanswered goals propelled #18 TCNJ to a 14-7 win over #17 Rowan in a battle of the top two women's lacrosse teams in the NJAC, with victory giving the Lions the regular-season title. The loss ends Rowan's 10-game winning streak, but the Profs (13-3; 4-1)will be the #2 seed in next week's NJAC Championship, and will host #3 Stockton on Wednesday at 4 p.m.

Elaina Corson and Trish Gillen had two goals each for the Profs with Fiona Lockhart adding a goal and an assist. Jess Hoffmaster also had a goal while Madison Rothwein had a goal and an assist, and with seven draw controls, tied Rowan's single-season record (131).

TCNJ (14-2; 5-0) dominated the second quarter, rattling off six straight goals to take a 7-3 lead, with three by Marissa Lucca. The Lions added three more early in the third to extend their scoring streak to 10.

Rowan ended the 30-plus minute scoreless skid as Corson tallied a goal at 11:16 and Gillen found the back of the net just two minutes later on a free position shot. Corson scored her second at 8:19 to cut Rowan's deficit to 12-6.

But Lucca got the final two of her seven goals, while Rothwein scored Rowan's last goal, off a pass from Alexis Lowry, with five minutes to play.
