MEMPHIS, TN -
Elaina Corson scored five goals and
Alexis Lowry netted four to pace #19 Rowan past Rhodes, 17-12, as the Profs closed out their Spring Break trip in Tennessee by increasing their winning streak to three in a row.

Madison Rothwein and
Fiona Lockhart scored three goals each. Corson had one assist in the game while
Trish Gillen scored one goal and handed out two assists.

Rowan (6-2) took the lead for good in the game by scoring four consecutive late in the second quarter. Gillen scored the eventual gamewinner off a pass from Corson with 2:38 remaining and Rothwein scored twice and Corson added one goal in those final two minutes to allow the Profs to own an 11-7 halftime lead.

Although Rhodes (5-3) closed to within 12-10 in the third quarter,
Jenna O'Neill scored to give the Profs a 13-10 cushion. The teams traded goals as the Lynx trailed, 14-12, but Rowan answered with three straight, with one from Lowry and two from Corson to close out the victory.

At the start of the game, Rhodes got a jump on the Profs and led 4-1. Lowry scored a man-up goal with the assist from Lockhart and followed with another after taking a pass from
Jess Hoffmaster to pull within, 4-3.

Rowan held a slim 21-16 advantage in shots on goal with
Kylie Durboraw making 10 saves.

The Profs head to Franklin & Marshall on Wednesday, March 25 before playing their next home game on March 31 against Catholic.
