PHILADELPHIA, PA – With 265 points, #3 Men's Track & Field won its 11th NJAC Indoor Championship as action came to a close on Friday. The two-day meet was held at the Ott Center on the campus of Penn. Inclement weather on Sunday pushed the final day back to Friday's rescheduled date.
FINAL RESULTS
TCNJ took second place with 152 points. Stockton was third (85), Ramapo fourth (54), and Farmingdale State fifth (46) to round out the top five respectively.
Three school records went down on Friday as well.
Rajahn Dixon broke his own program mark in winning the 200 meters (21.15); his new top time also moves him up to #2 in Division III and ranks as the fifth-fastest all-time in DIII history. Dixon's old top mark was 21.34.
Joshua Justin bettered the triple jump record of 14.93 meters set during the 2022-23 (Ahmir Johnson), as his 14.99 meter effort moved him up to #5 in DIII in the event where he placed second.
In the 800 meters, Dallas Honey (1:51.60) nearly edged out teammate
Teddy Wilson (1:51.80) to for first and second, respectively and for a new school record. Both times overtook the previous best of 1:52.63 (Nick Neville).
Dixon, Honey, and Wilson joined Marquise Taylor as part of the winning 4x400 relay (3:17.61).
David Brown led six Profs in the high jump, with a winning mark of 2.09 meters.
Noah Wampole tied for second (2.03m),
Isaiah Davenport was fourth (2.00m),
Arrington Rhym took fifth (1.97m), while
Derrick Robinson and
Damarion Potts tied for sixth (1.92m).
In that 200 meters,
Elijah Hendricks ran up to the new #8 time in DIII in a indoor PR result (21.31)
Seth Clevenger was first in the mile (4:02.08) while
Aidan Brad was second in the 3000 meters with a PR (8:49.50), and
Ryan Sanchez took third in the heptathlon (3952 points).
Rowan will be in action at the AARTFC Regional Championships, March 7-8 at the New York City Armory. The Division III Championships go down the following weekend March 14-15.
