Tate Chosen for Second-Straight USTFCCCA Division III Men's Assistant Coach of the Year Award

NEW ORLEANS, LA -- For the second-consecutive season, men's assistant coach Norm Tate has been named the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Division III Assistant Coach of the Year.

Tate, in his 18th season as an assistant, spearheaded a group of athletes that played a major role in helping Rowan win the team title at the NCAA DIII Indoor Championships, it's first indoor title in program history.

The Profs scored 28 points in the sprints and hurdles, highlighted by Rajahn Dixon's victory in the 200 meters that made him the second-fastest performer in NCAA DIII history at 20.92. Fourteen of those 28 points came in the 60-meter hurdles, where Kwaku Nkrumah and Jason Agyemang went second and third respectively.

Tate was also recently named the USTFCCCA Metro Region Assistant Coach of the Year.
