Haley Selmer netted 22 points, a career-high, but Rowan was edged out at TCNJ, 69-62, on Wednesday in an NJAC matchup.
The junior connected on 10 field goals (10-of-14), also a personal best, and added seven rebounds.
Charlotte Carlies recorded her fourth double-double of the season, finishing with 10 points and 10 boards. The team shot over 40% (25-of-59) and held a 43-28 rebound edge in the contest.
Grace Kowalski led all scorers with 25 points for The College of New Jersey. Brooke McFadden added 14 points. The duo combined to hit six of the team's eight three-pointers in the contest.
Tied at 15-15 after the first quarter, Kowalski netted 13 points in the second to help put the Lions up by two at halftime (37-35). Selmer scored nine points in the third quarter, but Rowan still trailed, 53-46, heading into the final period.
The Profs scored the first eight points of the fourth, capped with a three-pointer from
Ava Kraybill for a 54-53 lead. However, TCNJ countered with an 8-0 run of its own as McFadden's three put the home team up, 61-54 with 3:29 to play. Rowan climbed to within four points twice, with the latter coming with 39 seconds remaining, but could not pull closer.

Rowan heads to Rutgers-Newark on Saturday in a 4:00 p.m. tip before the regular season finale next Wednesday at home against Stockton (5:30 p.m.).
