GLASSBORO, NJ --
Seth Clevenger was selected as the Division III Men's Track & Field National Athlete of the Week by the USTFCCCA for the week ending January 25th.
Clevenger is the second Prof to earn the weekly national honor in a row after the transfer broke two school records and placed in the all-time Division III record book.
At last weekend's Dr. Sander Scorcher hosted by Columbia at the NYC Armory, Clevenger clocked in at 7:54.87 in the 3000 meters for the new #1 time in DIII and became the second person to hit sub-eight minutes in the event. His time breaks the old program record of 8:15.29 set in 2018 (Kevin Veltre). The following day at the same meet, Clevenger hit a new program time and top DIII mark in the mile (4:02.76). The 14th fastest results in DIII history, the time breaks the previous best of 4:11.05 set in 2024 (
Scott Hubbard).
Clevenger was
also named the NJAC Men's Track & Field Track Athlete of the Week as well.
Last week,
Dallas Hohney was cited with the award as he set a new Division III record in the 500 meters.
The Profs will travel to Staten Island, NY for the METS Championships at Ocean Breeze on Friday.
