MAHWAH, NJ - C.J. Hayes scored a career-high 31 points and
Michael Pirone notched a personal-best 20 to lead Rowan to a 104-75 win over Ramapo in a men's basketball contest this afternoon. It was the highest scoring output of the year for Rowan (3-11; 3-4 NJAC), and the largest winning margin, while it and ended a three-game losing streak.

Hayes scored 20 points in the first half alone as the Profs overtook the Roadrunners. He missed only two shots on the day, as he was 11-for-12 from the field, 4-for-4 in three-point attempts, and 5-for-6 from the foul line.

Pirone connected on 6-of-9 field goals, including three three-pointers, with
Taz Cantey contributing 14 points and
Khalil Baker adding 10 for the Profs.

Ramapo (3-11; 2-5) Â led by as much as nine points, 26-17, at 9:02 of the first half, before the Profs took over. Rowan went on a 21-3 which saw Hayes score 12 points that gave the Profs a 38-29 lead with over four minutes left in the half. The sophomore then scored eight more points as Rowan closed out the half and owned a 48-36 lead at the intermission.

The Profs shot 55 percent in the first half but bettered that mark in the second, hitting 61.8 percent. They were able to build upon the margin, and increased it to 21 points, 77-56, on a layup from
Brycen Williams with 7:53 to play. Rowan went up by 30, 92-62, on Cantey's basket with under five minutes remaining.

Rowan's largest margin of the game was 34 points, and came with 1:46 to go.

The Profs are back on the road on Wednesday when they visit Stockton before returning home on January 17th to take on Rutgers-Newark.
