GALLOWAY, NJ - Rowan ran into a hot-shooting Stockton team as the Ospreys picked up a 107-82 win in NJAC men's basketball play.
Taz Cantey scored 21 points to lead the Profs.
It was the third 20-plus point game of the year for Cantey while C.J. Hayes added 16 points for Rowan (3-12; 3-5 NJAC) as he made 5-of-10 from the field.
Owning a 53-40 halftime lead, Stockton expanded it to 69-48 in the first five minutes of the second half. Cantey scored 10 points for the Profs in the half, but Stockton was able to maintain the 20-point margin for the majority of the half, thanks to a 24-for-36 (66.7 percent) effort from the field.
Stockton (8-7; 5-3) led the entire first half although the Profs were within a three-point margin most of the way. But the Ospreys started to break away with an 11-4 run that gave them a 45-34 lead with 3:29 to play in the half, en route to the 13-point halftime lead.
Rowan returns home to host Rutgers-Newark on Saturday with a 3 p.m. start in Esby Gym.
