Jessica Smart were all honored by the New Jersey Athletic Conference in its weekly awards for the week ending September 28th.

Ford was the NJAC ootball Special Teams Player of the Week as he ran back three kickoff returns for a total of 133 yards. The freshman added a 56-yard return in the second quarter and a 59-yard scamper to open the third quarter, which led to a Rowan TD. On the season, the freshman leads the NJAC in kickoff returns, averaging 39.3 yards per attempt.

Williams-Thomas was chosen the Defensive Rookie of the Week in football as he posted five tackles (three solo) and added his first collegiate interception in Rowan's 34-23 win at Lycoming. In three games, the rookie has amassed nine stops on the year.

Herman picked up her xx Field Hockey Defensive Player of the Week honor as she helped the Profs to two wins last week. The senior recorded a goal and an assist in the 7-0 win over Arcadia, assisting on the game's first goal which turned out to be the gamewinner. She then tallied Rowan's sixth goal to mark second multiple-point game of the year. Herman led the defense which allowed just one goal in two games.

Kowalczyk is the Rookie of the Week in field hockey as the redshirt freshman scored two goals in the 7-0 win over Arcadia. She notched the Profs' first goal which turned out to be the gamewinner and continues to lead the team in scoring with eight goals and one assist.

Earning the women's soccer Offensive Player of the Week award, Moore had a natural hat trick in Rowan's 9-0 NJAC opening win at Rutgers-Newark. The junior transfer scored on all three of her shot attempts. On the season, Moore has four goals and an assist in seven games.

Smart, the volleyball Player of the Week, wowed in Rowan's 3-0 NJAC-opening win at Stockton, notching a match-high 19 kills while hitting .545 (19-1-33) on the night. The freshman is ranked in the top five in the NJAC in kills (165) and kills per set (3.67).

Football (2-0-1) will host #23 Christopher Newport on Saturday at 1 p.m. on Family Weekend at Coach Richard Wackar Stadium.

Field hockey, ranked 18th, will be on the road on Wednesday at Messiah (6 p.m.) and will then play a rare Sunday game on October 5th at home against nationally-ranked Lynchburg at noon.

The #18 women's soccer team (6-1, 1-0 NJAC) plays at NJCU on Wednesday before returning home to take on Rutgers-Camden on Saturday at 5 p.m.

The volleyball team (9-4, 1-0 NJAC) will have a busy week. First up is a home date with Immaculata (Tuesday) and Ramapo (Thursday) before a tri-match in Esby Gymnasium with DeSales and Brooklyn.
