SCRANTON, PA -- Jessica Smart registered 17 kills and Abby Chadwick added 12 as Rowan took down Union, 3-0 (25-15, 28-26, 25-21) Friday night at the weekend Scranton quad-match.

The win pushes the Prof win streak to eight matches.

Setter Raven Albrecht added 44 assists with her team-high six aces. Vanessa Hutchinson kicked in a game-high 27 digs.

Using a 13-4 run to take the first set, 25-15, Rowan had to battle through 14 ties and eight lead changes in the second. Chadwick's kill made it 25-24 Profs before Union countered with two-straight points to retake the lead. A pair of Hutton Cordrey kills was part of three points in a row to help Rowan go up two sets.

Rowan held a lead throughout the third set before Union was able to tie it at 21-21 Two Smart kills, and ace from Albrecht, and a block from Chadwick and Ciara Bradley put the wraps on the victory.

The Profs take on the host Royals tomorrow at 11 a.m. with the day's final match coming at 4 p.m. against Eastern.
