BALTIMORE, MD -- Rowan suffered a 3-0 (25-18, 25-20, 25-18) decision at #3 Johns Hopkins as the Profs got the 2025 season underway at the Giovanazzi Tournament on Friday.

Freshman Jessica Smart recorded a team-high nine kills in her collegiate debut. Vanessa Hutchinson added 11 digs with Abby Chadwick and Raven Albrecht dishing out 10 assists each. Chadwick and Jena Kaul (five kills) each notched two aces apiece.

The Blue Jays' Celine Ebert notched 13 kills including six in the third set as John Hopkins hit .361 (47-8-108) for the match.

The squad closes out its stay in Baltimore with two matches on Saturday, first a date with Babson at 11 a.m. followed by a matchup with Capital at 3 p.m.
