Alexis Lowry led Rowan in scoring, matching her career-high of three goals and was the only Prof with multiple goals.
The Profs trailed by just 5-3 after Lowry's goal at 10:51 of the second quarter, but TCNJ scored the final one of the half and the next four straight in the third to take a 10-3 lead with 9:15 to play.
Trish Gillen ended the streak at 3:16 when she scored off a pass from
Yasmin Harris, cutting Rowan's deficit to 10-4.
TCNJ (12-4; 5-0) added another at the start of the fourth quarter to go up, 11-4, before Harris and
Calista Burke scored within a minute apart to get Rowan within 11-6. Two straight from TCNJ's Marisa Luca seemed to put the game out of reach as the Lions held a 13-6 lead at 7:53.
Elaina Corson would take a pass from Burke to net the Profs' final goal at 6:00 followed by a pair of TCNJ scores to provide the final margin.
Rowan held a 25-20 advantage in shots on goal, but TCNJ's Julia Charest made 18 saves on the day.
Mel Rodgers stopped five shots for the Profs.
The loss ends Rowan's six-game winning streak but the Profs have tied the school record for victories.Â
