GALLOWAY, NJ -- Eliana Corson scored a career-high eight goals, including four in the fourth quarter, to help Rowan fend off Stockton, 14-11, in a New Jersey Athletic Conference matchup on Saturday.
Fiona Lockhart added three tallies,
Calista Burke netted two and
Alexis Lowry scored one as the Profs (11-1, 2-0 NJAC) won its third game in a row. Burke,
Molly Green, and
Hannah Lombardo all had three groundballs apiece. Green added three draw controls while Lombardo kicked in five draws.
Goalie
Mel Rodgers registered six saves in net while her counterpart, Stockon's Jordan Czaczkowski recorded seven stops.
Rowan got out to a 5-1 lead after the first quarter and would take a 6-3 advantage into the half.
After Lowry's goal put the Profs up 8-4, the Ospreys netted three-straight in a two-minute span late in the third to pull within one. Stockton's Isabella Marinello potted her team-leading third tally of the game 1:24 into the fourth to knot things up at 8-8.
Corson put in her first of four tallies in the quarter just under two minutes later to help keep the Profs ahead the rest of the way.
Next up for the team is a matchup at Catholic in Washington, D.C. on Tuesday in a 5 p.m. start.
