CAMDEN, NJ -- Rowan erased a 15-point halftime deficit to rally past Rutgers-Camden, 65-59, Wednesday evening in a New Jersey Athletic Conference road matchup.
Charlotte Carlies netted 16 points to lead the Profs while rookie
Megan Donelson scored eight of her 10 points in the second half.
Haley Selmer kicked in 14 points off the bench. Rowan shot over 55% in the final 30 minutes to help cap a second-half comeback for the team's first NJAC win on the year.
The Scarlet Raptors' Courtney Edmundo put up 17 points and 11 rebounds, both game highs. Teammate Hope Goodwine added 16 points with Tamyia Collier scoring 13 respectively.
Down two after the first quarter, Rowan was limited to one field goal in the second as Rutgers-Camden closed the stanza on a 16-4 run. Two free throws from Edmundo with a few ticks left put the home team up, 38-23, at the half.
The Profs trailed 48-33 with just over three minutes to play in the third, but a huge 10-0 run pulled Rowan within six heading into the final frame.
A pair of free throws from
Jess McLaughlin with five minutes in the game finally put Rowan in the lead. After Goodwine's bucket pulled Rutgers-Camden to one point with 3:52 to go, Donelson delivered a big three-pointer to keep the Profs ahead the rest of the way.
McLaughlin finished with four points, five boards and tied a career-high with five assists.
Rowan is back at home on Saturday welcoming New Jersey City for a NJAC matchup from Esby Gymnasium at 3 p.m.
