GLASSBORO, NJ -- Rowan eclipsed the century mark in its 101-70 win over New Jersey City Saturday afternoon in a NJAC matchup at Esby Gymnasium.
Five players reached double figures led by
Abigail Jazmin's 16 points.
Christina Sikaras (15 points),
Megan Donelson (12),
Jess McLaughlin (11), and
Natalia Barrera (10) helped the home team shoot over 52% in the second half. Sikaras drained four of the team's 12 three-pointers on the day as well.
It was almost four years to the day the last time the Profs went for a 100 points in a 100-57 victory at Rutgers-Camden on December 8, 2021.
Rowan came out firing in the first quarter as four of its first five buckets were three's. McLaughlin, Donelson, and Jazmin gave the Profs a double-digit lead (14-2) 3:33 into the contest.
Leading 48-37 coming out of halftime, Donelson's seven points and six from
Charlotte Carlies opened the lead to 20 after three quarters.
Na'Tori Postell led the Gothic Knights with a game-high 18 points.
Carlies finished with nine points snagged a team-best 11 rebounds as Rowan held down the glass, outrebounding NJCU, 50-28.
