Eichenbaum Records Four Points but #10 Men's Soccer Falls at Rutgers-Camden, 4-3

CAMDEN, NJ - Freshman Maxx Eichenbaum had a career-high four points, but #10 Rowan's late rally fell short and the Profs were edged by Rutgers-Camden, 4-3, today in NJAC men's soccer action.

Eichenbaum scored his first career goal and added two assists while Johnny Troiano posted a goal and an assist for Rowan (8-3-1; 1-2 NJAC).

Rutgers-Camden (6-3-2; 3-0) took the early 2-0 lead with both goals in the first 20 minutes. Eichenbaum cut the deficit with his first as a Prof when he took a pass from Troiano and scored just before halftime, at 43:10.

The home team increased its lead to 3-1 at 58:132 when Brandon Valeri converted a penalty kick.

Joey Kurak brought Rowan within striking distance, 3-2, as he took a feed from Eichenbaum and netted it into the right side of the net at 72:57.

But the Scarlet Raptors appeared to ice the game in the final 10 minutes as the goal at 81:54 gave them a 4-2 lead.

Troiano scored his team-best 12th goal of the season, with the assist from Eichenbaum, at 85:32, but the Profs ran out of time.
