GLASSBORO, NJ - The #18 Rowan men's soccer team ended up with a 1-1 draw as Alvernia scored the equalizer with two minutes to play this evening. Profs' freshman
Luke McNamee appeared to own the gamewinner with his first career goal, but it didn't hold.
The late goal was set up when Alvernia (2-7-3)was awarded a free kick and Austin Kraycik headed the ball across the goal to Joseph Washington, who put it into the far side for the tying goal at 88:40.
Rowan (8-2-2) dominated the game, taking 37 shots, including 20 in the first half alone. The Profs only found the net at 52:32 when McNamee collected a pass from
Jake Homowitz and blasted it from 25 yards away.
Travis Holiday made one save in goal for Rowan and Alvernia keeper Evan Solley needed to make 14 on the evening.
The Profs return to conference play on Saturday when they head to William Paterson for a 1 p.m. match.
