GLASSBORO, NJ – The post-season for fall sports has arrived and Rowan's men's and women's cross country and men's soccer teams will start their quests for NJAC Championships on Saturday. A total of seven Profs' squad are in action this weekend, while field hockey and women's soccer will open championship play early next week.
The
men's and women's cross country teams will be defending their titles at the NJAC Cross Country Championship hosted by Stockton on Saturday morning. The men's team ran away with its third straight crown, winning last year's event by 30 points for the 26th NJAC championship in team history. The women's squad claimed its first conference championship since 2019, and seventh overall, as the Profs placed four of its five runners in the top five spots en route to the title. The women's race starts at 10:30 a.m. with the men's following at 11:15 a.m. Admission is free.

The
#24 men's soccer team has earned the number-three seed in the NJAC Championship and will kick off play by hosting William Paterson on Saturday at 2 p.m. The Profs (12-3-4; 5-2-2) are the defending NJAC Champions, having won their second title in three years last season. A win advances Rowan to the semifinals at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, November 5, at second-seeded Stockton. The conference final is set for Saturday, November 8, at the site of the highest remaining seed.
The
#11 women's soccer team (13-1-2; 7-0-2) will begin its quest for the conference title next week as it received a first-round bye, earning the second seed in the tournament. Rowan will host a semifinal on Tuesday, November 4 at 6 p.m. against either TCNJ or Stockton. A win advances the Profs to the final on November 7, as they seek their second title in three years.
Rowan's
#14 field hockey team captured its fifth consecutive regular-season crown and is the top seed in the NJAC Championship. The Profs (13-5; 5-0) close out the regular season on Saturday vs. Montclair State (noon) and will be seeking their fifth straight conference tournament title when they host an NJAC semifinal game at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, November 5. The field hockey championship game is scheduled for Saturday, November 8 at the site of the highest remaining seeded team.
NJAC CHAMPIONSHIP TICKETS (soccer, field hockey) The NJAC will utilize digital ticketing with conference championship tickets available at NJACSports.com/tickets. There will be NO cash sales and fans are encouraged to purchase their tickets in advance. Prices are $10 for adults; $5 for senior citizens, students and children. Passes are not accepted. The first 100 Rowan students with ID are free. Once all 100 are claimed, student tickets are $5. No cash will be accepted.
The
men's and women's swimming teams will head south on Saturday to face nationally-ranked Salisbury in a dual meet at noon. Rowan's men's squad will take on the #22 Sea Gulls, with the women's team facing #24 Salisbury.
Rowan's
football team (4-2-1; 2-2) goes on the road for a key NJAC matchup with TCNJ (6-1; 3-1) on Saturday at noon. The Profs are looking to get back onto the winning track after suffering a 31-28 loss to #4 Salisbury last weekend.
TICKETS
The Profs'
volleyball team is the only squad not in action this weekend, but they will close out the regular season at NJCU on Tuesday, and then learn their seeding for the NJAC Volleyball Championship which begins on November 11.
