GLASSBORO, NJ -- Rowan took care of visiting St. Mary's of Maryland in three sets (25-18, 25-16, 25-20) on Friday evening in a non-conference matchup.
The win extends the Profs' win streak to seven games and a perfect 7-0 in the friendly confines of Esbjornson Gymnasium this season.
Jena Kaul led all attackers with a match-high 12 kills while
Raven Albrecht registered her second-straight double-double with 24 assists and a season-high 15 digs.
Ciara Bradley had five of the team's 10 aces, a personal best, along with five digs and four kills.
Kaul notched five of her 12 kills in the first set, helping the home squad to take a 1-0 lead. Rowan would trail 6-5 in the second, but rattled off eight points in a row as Bradley served up three aces in that stretch. The Seahawks pulled within 18-16, but the Profs ran off the next seven points capped by, you guessed it, an ace from Bradley.
St. Mary's Faith Shockley had three kills as part of a late 6-0 push to get the visitors to 23-19 in the third set. Kaul's 12th kill of the night was the final point in helping cement the outcome.
Shockey, Sanaa Porter, and Erianna Mendieta all finished with five kills apiece. Julia Bobrowski had a team-best six for the Seahawks.
Next up for Rowan is a matchup vs. Montclair State here in Glassboro on Tuesday at 7 p.m. in a NJAC showdown on Fan Appreciation Night/Youth Night.
