STATEN ISLAND, NY -- #4 Rowan was second at the METS Championships on Friday at the Ocean Breeze Complex in New York.

The Profs totaled 156.5 points behind first-place Fordham with 188. Mahattan was third with 101 points, Fairleigh Dickinson was fourth (64.5) and St. Peter's in fifth (47) respectively.

FINAL RESULTS

Here are a few highlights from the meet:

- Anthony Faust with an indoor PR in the 5000 meters (15:42.01)

- Rajahn Dixon was third in the 200 meters (21.92) with Samael Milevoix hitting a PR in a fifth-place finish (22.04)

- Jarquil Young posting an indoor PR in the 400 meters (50.13) where he was fifth; Teddy Wilson did the same in the 800 meters (1:56.74)

- Joshua Cason ran a 4:19.17 in the mile to place third; Matthew Conway was fifth with a PR time of 4:22.94

- Giancarlo Vega running a PR in the 3000 meters to place third (8:43.81)

- Marquise Young was 0.01 second away from tying his PR as the senior won the 60 meter hurdles (7.97)

- Joshua Justin hit 14.25 meters in the triple jump to place second and notch an indoor PR

- The 4x400 relay of Young, Milevoix, Dixon, and Jarquil Young improved on its #2 NJAC time (3:16.64) as the foursome was second

The Profs will head back to Ocean Breeze next Friday for the Fasttrack Invitational  beginning at noon.
