GLASSBORO, NJ --
Kate Herlihy eclipsed her career high for the second time this season, netting 33 points as Rowan held off Stockton, 60-55, in a New Jersey Athletic Conference matchup Wednesday evening at Esbjornson Gymnasium.

The senior guard, who had a previous best of 28 points against DeSales on January 4th, was 13-of-22 shooting from the floor, adding five rebounds and tying a personal high with six steals.
The Profs came out firing, opening the contest on a 12-2 run as Herlihy and
Kelli Kuenzel hit from deep. Six Stockton turnovers led to nine Rowan points, helping the home team to an 18-11 lead after the first quarter.
Herlihy added three more three-pointers in the second, but the Ospreys would score seven straight points to keep things within reach, cutting the Rowan lead to two-points (29-27) late in the frame. Profs headed into the locker room with a 33-27 edge.
In the third, the Ospreys put together a 12-2 spurt and would take its first lead of the game at the 2:31 mark after a Grace Speer's putback off a miss made it a 41-40 contest. The Profs closed out the quarter on 6-0 run thanks to five points from Herlihy and a pair of free throws from
Cornysha Davis.
Herlihy helped put things away in the fourth as her fifth triple put the home team back ahead for good, 53-52, with 3:27 to play. Rowan was able to ice things at the free throw line down the stretch to help notch the team's sixth conference win on the year.
ChiChi Wokocha led Stockton with 14 points off the bench. Speer finished with seven points, eight boards, three blocks, three assists, and a pair of steals.
Rowan heads to Rutgers-Newark on Saturday to continue NJAC play. Tipoff is slated for 6 p.m.
