GLASSBORO, NJ -- 
Brooke Adams set a program record with 12 aces against Drew as the Rowan won both games in Saturday's Matt Blatt Mitsubishi Profs Invitational here at Esbjornson Gymnasium, its first home action on the year. The Profs took down the Rangers, 3-0, and Widener, 3-0.

Adams broke the single-game mark of 10 aces which was held by six individuals, with the last occurrence coming on October 2nd, 2007 (Casey Roselle). The senior setter, who also earned the Matt Blatt Mitsubishi Player of the Game, finished the match with 29 assists to give her a double-double. Rookie 
Hutton Cordrey put down a match-high 15 kills as the Profs hit .387 (40-9-80) for the match.
In the Profs' first match of the day against Widener (25-12, 25-18, 25-18), Cordrey, 
Isabel Kirchner, and 
Ciara Bradley each totaled nine kills with 
Jena Kaul adding eight and 
Ava Best six. Adams kicked in 37 assists to go along with six digs, three aces, and a pair of kills.
Kirchner was named the Matt Blatt Mitsubishi Player of the Game vs. the Pride as her nine kills came on just 20 attempts with no hitting errors. The team put together a robust 43-16-103 hitting line (.262) in the three-set victory, including 18 total kills in the third and match-clinching set.
Saturday's other match saw Widener win in three sets over the Rangers (
25-16, 25-22, 25-11). Campbell Chronister of Widener earned Matt Blatt Mitsubishi Player of the Game honors after notching 19 assists, 10 digs, four kills, and two blocks.
Rowan continues play next weekend at the Knights Invitational hosted by Neumann. On Friday, the Profs battle Cedar Crest followed by matches with Ursinus and the host Knights on Saturday.
