McCutcheon Selected NFCA Division III All-American

Sophomore pitcher earns second-team selection

MARSHALL, TX -- Emily McCutcheon took home Second-Team All-American honors as announced by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) at the NCAA Championship Banquet Wednesday evening.

COMPLETE LIST

She becomes the third Prof in as many years to be named All-American, joining Rylee Lutz (2023) and Morgan Zane (2022). McCutcheon becomes the 42nd player in program history to be cited with one of Division III's top honors.

This season, the sophomore left-hander has a 20-1 record with a 0.91 ERA in 154 innings in the circle. McCutcheon has thrown seven shutouts and has added two saves to the resume, along with 95 strikeouts and a .210 opposing batting average. Her ERA ties her for the fifth-lowest in Division III and along with Lutz and Veronica Goode, the trio have the third lowest team ERA (1.28) and fourth-most team shutouts (20) as well.

Earlier this season, she set a Division III record for most innings pitched in a single game, throwing all 20 innings in a 1-0 shutout victory over TCNJ in the NJAC Tournament opener on May 6th.

#13th-ranked Rowan will take on the host and #2 East Texas Baptist University in the team's NCAA Championship opener tomorrow in Marshall, Texas in a 4:00 p.m. CT/5:00 p.m. first pitch.
