MONTCLAIR, NJ -
Elaina Corson scored five goals, including the 100th of her career, and
Calista Burke added four, to lead Rowan to a 14-12 lead over Montclair State in the NJAC women's lacrosse regular-season finale. With the win, Rowan (7-10; 3-1 NJAC) secures the second seed in the 2024 NJAC Championship and will host Stockton in a semifinal game on Wednesday, May 1 at 4 p.m. at the Rowan Soccer and Lacrosse Complex.
The Profs are seeking their third straight appearance in the NJAC Championship. Tickets are available at the gate - $10 for adults; $5 for students, senior citizens and children. No season passes will be accepted. The first 100 Rowan students with ID will be admitted free.

Corson, a sophomore, reaches the 100-goal mark in just her 34th career game.
Molly Green also set the Rowan record for caused turnovers in a season that stood for 18 years. Green now has 41 to surpass the mark of 40 set by Rowan Hall of Famer Maggie Goodman in 2006.
Trish Gillen added two goals and a team-best four assists, with Green contributing two goals and one assist and
Fiona Lockhart adding a goal.
The Profs took a quick 4-0. lead in the first five minutes, which included two from Burke, before MSU (8-5; 2-3) came back to tie the game with four straight from the end of the first quarter into the second.
Burke started a streak of six consecutive goals for the Profs in the second quarter, as they built up a 10-4 lead. Corson had three goals in the quarter with Green adding two as Rowan owned a 10-5 halftime advantage.
Corson opened the third quarter scoring her milestone goal off a pass from Gillen. Lockhart had the only other Rowan goal of the quarter as Montclair State closed to within 12-7.
Green sent a pass to Burke for the first goal of the final quarter with Gillen following just a minute later, at 12:30, to up the Profs' lead to 14-8.
The Red Hawks put the pressure on in the final six minutes, scoring four straight goals to provide the final margin.
Rowan held the 25-20 advantage in shots on goal and goalie
Mel Rodgers made eight saves for the Profs.
Regular-season champion TCNJ will host fourth-seeded in the other semifinal on Wednesday. The winners will meet in the NJAC Championship on Saturday, May 4 at the site of the higher-seeded team.
