WASHINGTON, DC – Rowan (19-7) will open play in the 2024 NCAA Division III Men's Basketball Championship on Friday afternoon, when it takes on Carnegie Mellon (16-9) on the Franny Murray Court at the DuFour Center at Catholic University. Tip-off is 3:15 p.m. Host team, #14 Catholic (24-3) will face Worcester State (18-9) in the other first-round game, with the winners meeting in the Second Round on Saturday at 5:45 p.m.

GAME NOTES
The Profs earned an at-large bid to the tournament and will be making the 16th appearance in school history and their third consecutive. Last year, Rowan hosted the first and second rounds, defeating Cal Lutheran and Utica to advance to Sweet 16 for the first time since 1997-98.
Rowan is led by two-time NJAC Player of the Year
Ja'Zere Noel, who is scoring 21.4 points per game, along with 9.8 rebounds.
Khalif Meares, the NJAC Co-Defensive Player of the Year, is averaging 19.0 points and 3.5 steals, which is the second-best number in the NCAA. All-Conference performer
Marcellus Ross rounds out the top-scoring trio with his 19.0 average while he is one of the nation's top three-point shooters, making 3.5 per game.
The NJAC regular-season champion for the second straight year, Rowan is the third highest scoring team in Division III, with an 89.8 average.
