DOYLESTOWN, PA – Rowan powered its way to a 60-52 win at Delaware Valley on Monday.
Kate Herlihy poured in 16 points along with six rebounds, six assists, and five steals while
Charlotte Carlies netted 14 points. Carlies and
Abigail Jazmin also snared six boards respectively.
After Delaware Valley got it to 52-50 with 3:44 to play, the Profs ran off the next seven points with Herlihy's dagger three coming with 41 ticks remaining to help hold off the home Aggies.
Haley Keenan and Alexis Wright led the Aggies with 17 points apiece. Keenan grabbed 15 rebounds and Wright pulled down 11.
Trailing 14-11 after the first quarter, Rowan rebounded to take a halftime lead in the second.
Jess McLaughlin's three in the final minute of the half put the Profs up, 27-24, heading into the break.
Now leading 46-40 entering the fourth,
Lily Bross connected from deep early in the frame to give Rowan it's largest lead of the game. The Aggies climbed within two (52-50) before the Profs started its game-changing stretch to pick up its seventh win on the year.
Next up for Rowan is a home date against Elizabethtown on Thursday here in Esbjornson Gym beginning at 6 p.m.
