GLASSBORO, NJ -- Rowan claimed a 3-0 sweep of New Jersey City (25-14, 25-17, 25-11) Tuesday night in the home finale here at Esbjornson Gymnasium.

Jena Kaul's game-high 11 kills were highlighted in the second set where the junior put down nine in the frame. Hutton Cordrey kicked in seven as the team posted a 32-15-103 (.165) hitting line. Brooke Adams assisted on 25 of the 32 kills for the home team as well.

Brenda Gonzalez had eight kills, seven digs, and two blocks (one solo) for the Gothic Knights.

Hutton and Isabel Kirchner each had four kills in the first set, as Rowan led from start to finish to take a 1-0 lead. Kaul came alive in the second with her nine kills, four of which came in a 7-0 run that erased an early 3-0 NJCU advantage. The Gothic Knights used six-straight points to pull within 20-17, but the Profs rolled off the next five points to claim the set.

In the third, Rowan jumped out to a 10-2 lead and cruised to the three-set sweep.

The Profs are locked in as the #5 seed in the upcoming NJAC Tournament which kicks off a week from tonight, November 12th as Rowan will play at #4 Kean in a first-round matchup.

The team will end the regular season on Friday in a non-conference match at Eastern starting at 7 p.m.
