CAMDEN, NJ --
Brooke Adams surpassed 4,000 career assists in Rowan's 3-1 (23-25, 25-19-, 25-20, 25-10) victory at Rutgers-Camden Thursday night in a New Jersey Athletic Conference matchup.
The setter recorded 50 assists on the team's 59 kills as the Profs hit .259. Entering the evening, the senior needed 49 to hit the mark and now stands at 4,001 for her career.
Jena Kaul led two players in double-digit kills with a match-high 16.
Ciara Bradley kicked in 12 while
Isabel Kirchner added 11 respectively.
Jessica Weimer paced the Scarlet Raptors with nine kills. Teammate Avery Ang posted a double-double with 17 assists and 15 digs.
The first set saw both teams hit over .200 for the frame in battling through 10 ties and five lead changes. Â The largest lead of the set was a 15-11 Rowan score off a service ace from Adams. Rutgers-Camden responded with a 7-1 run to stay ahead in taking down the first set.
The Scarlet Raptors notched the first four points of the second set before the Profs grinded to tie things at 11-11. Later an 11-3 swing from the visitors gave Rowan its largest lead and helped even things up at a set apiece.
In the fourth set, it was the Profs scoring the first four points where the squad led the rest of the way to go up, 3-1. Rowan ran away in the fourth set, using an 18-5 spurt to close it out in the NJAC win.
Hutchinson produced a team-high 24 digs while she and Adams each had a team-best three aces.
Rowan returns to action on Tuesday, October 29th when the team plays at Rutgers-Newark in NJAC action, looking to secure a playoff berth with a win.
