Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

Cleary, Aportela Lead #13 Men's Soccer Over Kean, 3-0

GLASSBORO, NJ – Ryan Cleary had a goal and an assist and #13 Rowan did all of its scoring in the second half en route to a 3-0 win over Kean in NJAC men's soccer action this evening. The Profs remain unbeaten in conference play at 5-0-2 and improve to 8-4-5 overall.

Game Highlights

Johnny Troiano and Jason Barragan followed up with goals after Cleary posted the eventual gamewinner. Dylan Aportela made four saves to record his fourth consecutive shutout, and his fifth solo shutout of the year.

Kean (4-8-5; 2-3-2) held the edge in shots (8-6) in the first half, but Aportela kept them off the board and the teams were scoreless at halftime. Cleary broke the tie at 54:44 when he took a free kick just outside the box and sent it into the lower right of the goal.

Troiano tallied his team-best 12th of the season at 67:19, taking advantage of a Kean turnover, as Joey Kurak was credited with the assist. Barragan added another insurance goal late in the game, when he took a pass from Cleary and converted it at 83:31.

Rowan will host Ramapo on Saturday afternoon at 1 p.m. in the final regular-season home match of the year, for "Senior Day".
