HOBOKEN, NJ -- Multiple winners highlighted the Rowan Women's Swimming Team's 161-101 victory at Stevens in the 2024-25 season opener on Saturday.
FINAL RESULTS
Ella Pennington captured first in the 100 back (58.30) and 100 fly (58.57) and was joined by two freshmen in capturing first place in multiple events. Rookie
Rhylee Cornell was first in the 100 (1:09.70) and 200 breaststroke (2:30.19) and teammate Lily Martin was the top finisher in the 200 fly (2:14.12) and 500 free (5:23.21).
The Profs also captured both relays on the day as well. Pennington and Cornell teamed up with
Kaitlyn Crouthamel and
Laura Jones to claim the 200 yard medley relay (1:51.91). Cornell and Jones then joined
Elizabeth Jones and
Barbara Mora in winning the 400 free relay (3:45.91).
Other individual winners included Mora in the 100 free (56.34),
Laura Jones in the 50 free (25.27), and Crouthamel in the 200 IM (2:15.88).
Next up for the Profs (1-0) is the home opener here at Tony Lisa Natatorium against NYU on Saturday, October 26th beginning at noon.
