EWING, NJ -- Rowan was on the wrong end of a 73-56 decision at The College of New Jersey Wednesday evening in a New Jersey Athletic Conference matchup.
Kate Herlihy paced the Profs with 15 points as the junior added five rebounds, three assists and two steals.
Eliana Santana grabbed a team-high eight rebounds and kicked in nine points.
The Lions connected on 14 three-pointers on the night, led by Nina Branchizio who hit on five triples. Brachizio and teammate Julia Setaro each finished with 19 points, both game highs.
Trailing 34-27 at the half, Rowan put together an 8-0 stretch to open the third, capped by a trey from Herlihy to give the Profs its first lead of the contest (35-34) two minutes into the frame. TCNJ used a run of its own, closing the stanza on a 15-7 spurt, holding that double-digit lead throughout the fourth as the Lions picked up its third win in a row.
For the contest, the Profs shot 42.1% (24-of-57) and committed a season-low 12 turnovers.
Rowan will return home on Saturday to square off with Ramapo here in Esbjornson Gymnasium in NJAC action beginning at 1 p.m.
